1. Prep Cabbage

  • Wash thoroughly, remove core, chop into bite-sized pieces.

2. Sauté Aromatics

  • Heat oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.

3. Brown Meat

  • Add minced meat, breaking it apart with a spoon.

4. Add Tomato Base

5. Season

  • Stir well to coat.

6. Add Cabbage

  • Toss in chopped cabbage.
  • Stir thoroughly—it will wilt and shrink as it cooks.

7. Simmer

  • Pour in water or broth.
  • Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and flavors meld.

8. Finish & Serve

  • Taste and adjust seasoning.
  • Garnish with parsley.
