Buttermilk 1 cup
Hot sauce (optional) 1 tsp
All-purpose flour 2 cups
Garlic powder 1 tsp
Paprika 1 tsp

Black pepper 1/2 tsp
Cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp
Eggs, whisked 2 large
Vegetable or canola oil, for frying

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Combine buttermilk and hot sauce in a bowl. Add chicken pieces, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the Breading: In a separate bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Dip marinated chicken pieces in whisked eggs, then coat with seasoned flour.
