1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
To taste Salt
To taste Pepper

  2. Prepare the Roast:
    • Ensure the beef eye of round roast is at room temperature.
    • Place the roast in a roasting pan or baking dish without covering or adding water.
  3. Initial Roasting:
    • Put the roast in the preheated oven.
    • Quickly reduce the temperature to 475 degrees F (245 degrees C).
    • Roast for 21 minutes (seven minutes per pound).
  4. Crucial Resting Period:
    • Turn off the oven and let the roast sit in the hot oven for 2 1/2 hours.
    • Do not open the oven door during this time.
  5. Check Internal Temperature:
    • After the resting period, check that the internal temperature has reached at least 145 degrees F (65 degrees C).
  6. Carve and Serve:
    • Carefully remove the roast from the oven.
    • Carve the roast into thin slices and serve.
