Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • Olive oil
  • 1 lb ground meat
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 6 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

FIRST STEP:
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare loaf pan with nonstick spray
  • Mix all ingredients, except cheese, together until well combined
SECOND STEP:
  • Place half of the mixture in the loaf pan, pressing in slightly
  • Layer on 3 slices of cheese
THIRD STEP:
  • Add remaining meat mixture on top of cheese, again pressing slightly
  • Top with remaining 3 slices of cheese
FOURTH STEP:
  • Sprinkle on dry parsley if desired
FIFTH STEP:
  • Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour
  • Slice, serve!
