Ingredient Quantity
Salted Butter ½ cup
Sweet White Wine ¼ cup
Granulated Sugar 1 cup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan with nonstick baking spray and set aside.
  2. Combine Cake Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, sour cream, and sweet white wine.
  3. Mix Cake Batter: Beat the mixture until all ingredients are fully combined and the batter is smooth.
  4. Bake the Cake: Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the edges of the cake have pulled slightly away from the pan.
  5. Prepare Glaze: While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the butter, sweet white wine, and granulated sugar. Heat and stir over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the butter is melted. Remove from heat.
  6. Poke Holes in Cake: Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven (but leave it in the pan). Use a bamboo skewer or toothpick to poke holes all over the bottom of the cake while it’s still in the pan.
  7. Pour Glaze over Cake: Pour the hot glaze evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes. This process will take about 15-20 minutes.
  8. Remove from Pan: Once the glaze is absorbed, use a spatula to loosen the edges of the cake from the pan as much as possible. Turn the cake out onto a cake plate.
  9. Serve: Cut and serve the Crack Cake. Enjoy the rich, moist texture and the delicious glaze!
