My hubby simply can’t get enough of this one! I like to call it “Hubby Addiction”

This Cheddar Crusted Ground Beef and Rice Casserole is a classic one-pan meal that is hearty, comforting, and simple to make. Uncooked rice absorbs the rich flavors of beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, and savory ground beef as it bakes, resulting in a tender, flavorful casserole topped with a melted, golden-brown crust of Cheddar cheese.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Ground beef 1 pound
Uncooked white rice 1 cup
Beef broth 2 cups
Cream of mushroom soup 1 can (10.5 oz)
Shredded cheddar cheese 1 cup
Small onion, chopped 1
Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Black pepper ½ teaspoon
Olive oil 1 tablespoon

How To Make Cheddar Crusted Ground Beef and Rice Casserole:

  1. Preheat Oven & Cook Beef: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Stir the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper into the cooked ground beef. Add the uncooked rice and stir to combine with the beef mixture. Pour in the beef broth and cream of mushroom soup, stirring until everything is well mixed.
  3. Bake the Casserole: Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  4. Cover & Finish: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  5. Cool & Serve: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
