This hearty Meat and Potato Casserole is a classic comfort food dish that’s perfect for a family dinner or a cozy night in. The combination of savory ground beef, creamy mushroom soup, and tender potatoes creates a satisfying and flavorful meal.

Cream of mushroom soup 1 can (10.5 ounces)
Heavy whipping cream ¼ cup
Dried rosemary 1 teaspoon
Beef broth ½ cup
Garlic powder ½ teaspoon
Shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend) 1½ cups
Salt and black pepper To taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat and set aside.
  3. Sauté onion: In the same skillet, sauté chopped yellow onion until tender and translucent.
  4. Prepare potatoes: Peel and thinly slice potatoes.
  5. Combine sauce: In a medium bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, heavy whipping cream, beef broth, dried rosemary, and garlic powder.
  6. Layer casserole: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Start with a layer of potatoes, followed by ground beef, onion, and a portion of the sauce. Repeat layers, ending with potatoes and remaining sauce.
  7. Bake: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil, sprinkle with cheese, and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
