Hearty Tater Tot Casserole

This classic comfort food is perfect for a weeknight meal. The creamy sauce, flavorful beef, and crispy tater tots make for a satisfying dish.

Ingredients:

Ground Beef 1 pound
Onion (diced) 1 small
Garlic (minced) 2 cloves
Cream of Mushroom Soup 1 can (10.5 oz)
Sour Cream 1/2 cup
Milk 1/2 cup
Worcestershire Sauce 1 tablespoon
Cheddar Cheese (shredded) 2 cups
Tater Tots 1 bag (32 oz)
Salt and Pepper To taste
Chopped Parsley For garnish (optional)

Frozen Mixed Vegetables 1 cup
Paprika 1/2 teaspoon
Cooked Bacon (crumbled) 1 cup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.  
  2. Cook ground beef: Cook ground beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Drain excess fat.
  3. Make creamy filling: Combine cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk. Add to cooked beef mixture.
  4. Assemble casserole: Spread beef mixture in prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Arrange tater tots on top.
  5. Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy. Sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
