French Toast Bites

French Toast Bites
Ingredients:

| Unsalted butter | 1 cup |
| Brown sugar | 1 cup |
| Maple syrup | 1/3 cup |
| Cinnamon | 2 teaspoons |
| Vanilla extract | 1 teaspoon |
| Salt | 3/4 teaspoon |
| Pecans, roughly chopped | 1 cup |
How To Make French Toast Bites:
Step 1: Preheat and Prep Crackers: Preheat oven to 375F (190C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.1 Place the 9 oz oyster crackers in a large bowl, then set aside.

Step 2: Make Caramel Glaze: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup butter and 1 cup brown sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, and let it boil for exactly 2 minutes.

Step 3: Combine and Toss: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the 1/3 cup maple syrup, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp vanilla, and 3/4 tsp salt. Pour the glaze over the crackers, and using a rubber spatula, stir until the crackers are evenly coated. Fold in the 1 cup pecans, then transfer the coated crackers to the prepared baking sheet.
Step 4: Bake and Cool: Bake until the mixture is bubbly, about 12 minutes. Allow the crackers to cool completely on the baking sheet, then break them into small, bite-sized pieces.
Step 5: Store: Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
