For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

Ingredient Quantity
Butter, melted 2 tablespoons
Granulated sugar ¼ cup
Cinnamon 1 teaspoon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Make cinnamon swirl: In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
  6. Assemble bread: Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar swirl mixture evenly over the batter. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top.
  7. Bake the bread: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top is browning too quickly, cover it loosely with foil halfway through baking.
  8. Add cinnamon sugar topping: Once the bread is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes. While the bread is still warm, brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar topping mixture evenly over the top.
  9. Cool and serve: Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing. Enjoy as-is, or serve it warm with a spread of butter or alongside a cup of coffee or tea!
