Paula Deen’s 5-Minute Fudge

This famous “no-fail” fudge is incredibly creamy thanks to the addition of marshmallows. It’s a classic Southern treat that comes together in just a few minutes on the stovetop.

Ingredients:

| Granulated sugar | 1 1/2 cups |
| Evaporated milk | 3/4 cup |
| Butter | 1 tablespoon |
| Semi-sweet chocolate chips | 6 ounces |
| Large marshmallows | 16 |
| Chopped pecans | 1 cup |
| Vanilla extract | 1 teaspoon |
How To Make Paula Deen’s 5-Minute Fudge:
Step 1: The Base Boil: In a medium saucepan, combine the 1 1/2 cups sugar, 3/4 cup evaporated milk, and 1 tbsp butter. Place the pan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a full boil, stirring frequently to prevent the sugar from scorching.

Step 2: Time the Boil: Once the mixture reaches a boil, let it cook for exactly 5 minutes. Continue to stir often during this time.

Step 3: Melt the Chocolate and Marshmallows: Remove the saucepan from the heat immediately. Whisk in the 6 oz of chocolate chips and the 16 large marshmallows. Continue to stir vigorously until the marshmallows and chocolate are completely melted and the mixture is glossy and smooth.
Step 4: Add Flavor and Crunch: Fold in the 1 tsp vanilla extract and the 1 cup of chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
Step 5: Set the Fudge: Pour the mixture into a well-greased 9×9-inch baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula. Place the dish in the refrigerator or freezer until the fudge has completely hardened and set.
Step 6: Slice and Serve: Once firm, cut the fudge into 36 squares. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in a cool place.
