Robert Redford Dessert

If you went to a party in the 1970s or 80s, chances are this dessert made an appearance—and disappeared just as quickly. Known as Robert Redford Dessert (or sometimes “Better Than Robert Redford”), this layered classic became a potluck and church cookbook staple at the height of Redford’s fame. The name made sense: call the most irresistible dessert after the most irresistible man of the era. The trend may have faded, but the deliciousness hasn’t.

With a nutty crust, creamy layers, and rich pudding filling, this vintage treat is still a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
