Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pastry: Combine flour, butter, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut butter into dry ingredients until crumbly. Gradually add ice water until dough comes together. Shape into a rectangle, wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Cheesecake Layer: Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy.
  3. Prepare the Apple Filling: Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and water in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until apples are soft and mixture thickens. Let cool.
