Heavy whipping cream ¼ cup
Dried rosemary 1 teaspoon
Beef broth ½ cup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook beef and onions: In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Drain excess fat.
  3. Make creamy sauce: In a medium bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, heavy whipping cream, beef broth, and dried rosemary. Stir until smooth.
  4. Layer ingredients: In the prepared baking dish, arrange a layer of thinly sliced potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Spread half of the cooked beef mixture over potatoes, followed by a layer of the creamy mushroom sauce. Repeat layers.
  5. Add cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
  6. Bake: Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until potatoes are tender. Remove foil during the last 10 minutes to allow cheese to become golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
