Ingredients:

Ingredients Quantity
Honeysuckle bone-in turkey breast 1 (6-lb)
Dry onion soup mix 1 (1-ounce package)
Butter 3 tablespoons
Cornstarch 2 tablespoons
Water 2 tablespoons
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Turkey: Rinse the thawed turkey breast and pat it dry with paper towels. Remove any excess skin. Rub the entire turkey breast with the dry onion soup mix.
  2. Set Up the Slow Cooker: Place slices of butter at the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker. Then, carefully place the seasoned turkey breast on top of the butter.
  3. Cooking Time: Cover the slow cooker and cook the turkey breast on low heat for approximately 7 hours. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the turkey breast. It should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit. If it hasn’t reached this temperature yet, continue cooking until it does.
  4. Rest the Turkey: Once the turkey breast is fully cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and place it on a serving platter. Loosely cover the turkey with foil and let it rest for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Make the Gravy: While the turkey is resting, prepare the gravy. Strain the drippings from the slow cooker into a saucepan. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Slowly whisk the slurry into the drippings over medium heat until the gravy thickens and becomes smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve: Slice the rested turkey breast and arrange it on a platter. Pour the warm gravy over the slices of turkey. Serve hot and enjoy!
