Ingredients:

Lean ground beef 1.5 pounds
Yellow onion (finely chopped) 1
Eggs (beaten) 2
Green bell pepper (finely chopped) 1
Panko breadcrumbs 1 cup
Worcestershire sauce 2 tablespoons
Oil 1 tablespoon
Garlic (minced) 3 cloves
Provolone cheese (sliced) 6 slices
Shredded mozzarella 1 cup
Salt and black pepper To taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Sauté vegetables: Sauté onion, green bell pepper, and garlic in oil until softened.
  3. Prepare meatloaf mixture: Combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, sautéed vegetables, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Assemble meatloaf: Place half the meat mixture in the pan. Add Provolone cheese. Top with remaining meat mixture.
  5. Bake meatloaf: Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Add cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella on top. Layer remaining Provolone cheese. Bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Rest and serve: Let meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
