Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Maria’s cookies, crushed 2 packages (4.9 oz)
Walnuts, finely chopped and toasted 1 cup
Chocolate chips 2 cups
Heavy cream 1 cup
Butter, cubed 1/3 cup
Powdered sugar, for dusting 1/3 cup

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Cookies: Crush Maria’s cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  2. Toast Walnuts: In a dry skillet, toast finely chopped walnuts over medium heat until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent burning.
  3. Melt Chocolate: In a saucepan, combine chocolate chips, heavy cream, and cubed butter over low heat. Stir constantly until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Remove chocolate mixture from the heat and stir in crushed cookies and toasted walnuts until well combined.
  5. Shape Salami: Place a large piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface and transfer chocolate mixture onto it. Shape mixture into a log or salami shape, using the plastic wrap to help roll it tightly. Twist the ends of the plastic wrap to seal the log securely.
  6. Chill and Set: Refrigerate chocolate salami for at least 2-3 hours or until firm.
  7. Finish and Serve: Unwrap chocolate salami and roll in powdered sugar to coat evenly. Slice salami into rounds and serve.
