Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, thawed hash browns, 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, and chopped bell pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, large eggs, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Pour the egg mixture over the hash brown mixture in the large bowl and stir until everything is well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
