2. Brown the Ground Beef and Onion

In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and chopped onion. Stir until evenly browned and the onion begins to soften.

3. Season and Blend

Drain excess grease and season the mixture with garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir in diced green chile peppers and refried beans until well blended. Keep the mixture warm.

4. Prepare the Sauce

In a saucepan, combine tomato sauce, no-bean chili, and enchilada sauce. Whisk together and heat over medium heat until well mixed and heated through. Keep the sauce warm.

5. Assemble the Burritos

Divide the beef and bean mixture into 6 portions. On each tortilla, place a portion of the mixture, top with cheese and lettuce. Fold the tortilla to create an envelope, ensuring no filling can escape.

6. Baking

Place the burritos seam side down in two greased 9 x 13 oven-safe dishes. Pour the sauce over them and sprinkle the remaining cheese evenly. Bake for 15-20 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted.

7. Toppings

Garnish with more lettuce, tomato, sour cream, dried chives, or your choice of toppings.
