Instructions:
- Prepare the pan: Melt butter in a 9-inch round cake pan. Arrange sliced bananas evenly on the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle sugar over the bananas.
- Make the batter: In a bowl, whisk together egg, milk, salt, and vanilla extract.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
- Mix wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
