Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Ground beef 1 lb
Onion, diced 1 small
Garlic, minced 3 cloves
Cabbage, chopped 1 medium head
Carrots, sliced 2
Beef broth 3 cups
Diced tomatoes (with juice) 28 oz can
Tomato sauce 15 oz can
White rice, uncooked 1/2 cup
Brown sugar 2 tbsp
Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp
Paprika 1 tsp
Dried thyme 1 tsp
Bay leaf 1
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet, brown ground beef. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic to skillet, cook until softened.
  3. Transfer beef, onion, and garlic to slow cooker.
  4. Add remaining ingredients (except salt and pepper) to slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Remove bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot.
