Betty’s Baked Scallops

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Sea scallops 1 pound, rinsed and patted dry
Unsalted butter 2 tablespoons, melted
Garlic cloves 3, minced
Bread crumbs ½ cup
Grated Parmesan cheese ¼ cup
Salt ¼ teaspoon
Black pepper ¼ teaspoon
Fresh parsley 1 tablespoon, chopped
Lemon 1, cut into wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In one bowl, whisk together the melted butter and minced garlic.
  3. In another bowl, combine the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Dip each scallop in the butter mixture, making sure to coat it completely. Then, generously coat the scallop with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place the coated scallops in a baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle any leftover breadcrumb mixture over the scallops.
