Instructions:
- Prep Pan & Cook Base: Line an 8-inch-square baking pan with foil. In a medium, heavy-duty saucepan, combine the 1 ½ cups granulated sugar, ⅔ cup evaporated milk, 2 tablespoons butter, and ¼ teaspoon salt. Bring the mixture to a full, rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Stir in Fudge Ingredients: Immediately stir in the 2 cups miniature marshmallows, 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels, the optional ½ cup chopped nuts, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir vigorously for 1 minute, or until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Pour & Chill: Pour the fudge into the prepared foil-lined baking pan. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
- Cut & Serve: Lift the fudge from the pan using the foil handles, then remove the foil. Cut the fudge into 48 pieces and enjoy!
