Ingredients:

Spaghetti Sauce | 1 jar |
Cream Cheese | 8 oz |
Sour Cream | ¼ cup |
Cottage Cheese | ½ lb (1 cup) |
Butter | ½ cup (1 stick) |
Spaghetti (16 oz) | 1 pkg |
Grated Cheddar Cheese | As desired |
Instructions:
- Preheat and Cook Pasta: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Boil your spaghetti noodles until al dente (firm). Drain and set aside.
- Combine Cheese Mixture: Combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until well blended.
- Brown Beef and Combine with Sauce: Brown the ground beef, and when done, drain well. Combine the ground beef with the spaghetti sauce.
- Assemble Casserole – Layer 1: Put a few slices of butter into a 9×13 inch pan. Pour half of the cooked spaghetti noodles on top.
- Assemble Casserole – Layer 2: Pour the cream cheese mixture on top of the noodles. Spread well.
- Assemble Casserole – Layer 3: Pour the rest of the noodles on top of the cream cheese mixture. Put a few more slices of butter on top of the noodles.
- Assemble Casserole – Layer 4: Pour the spaghetti and meat sauce on top of the noodles.
- Bake (First Round): Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Add Cheese and Bake (Second Round): After 30 minutes, pour the desired amount of grated cheddar cheese on top and return to the oven for 15 minutes to allow the cheese to melt.
