Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and 1 cup of eggnog. Beat until smooth.
- Pour the cake batter into the greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the cake bakes, prepare the topping. In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining 2 cups of eggnog, instant pudding mix, cinnamon, and nutmeg until the mixture thickens.
- Once the cake is done and cooled slightly, poke holes all over the top with the handle of a wooden spoon.
- Pour the eggnog pudding mixture evenly over the top of the cake.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 20 minutes to allow the pudding to set.
- Spread the whipped cream or Cool Whip evenly over the top of the chilled cake.
