Flour 4 cups
Baking soda 2 teaspoons

Sugar 2/3 cup
Cinnamon 2 teaspoons

👩‍🍳 How To Make Amish Cinnamon Bread:

  1. Cream the base: In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter, 2 cups sugar, and eggs until smooth.
  2. Mix the batter: Add buttermilk, flour, and baking soda. Stir until well combined.
  3. Prepare pans: Grease two loaf pans. Pour in half the batter, dividing evenly.
  4. Make cinnamon mixture: In a small bowl, combine 2/3 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
  5. Layer and swirl: Sprinkle 3/4 of the cinnamon mixture over batter. Add remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon mixture. Use a knife to gently swirl.
  6. Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45–50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and serve: Let loaves cool in pans for 20 minutes before removing. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
