This is my famous ‘church supper’ dish and all my church friends go wild over it!.

This classic baked spaghetti recipe is a comforting and satisfying dish that’s perfect for sharing with family and friends. The combination of hearty meat sauce, tender spaghetti, and melted cheese makes it a crowd-pleasing meal.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Spaghetti 1 lb
Ground Beef 1 lb
Onion (diced) 1 medium
Garlic (minced) 3 cloves
Marinara Sauce 1 jar (24 oz)
Dried Oregano 1 teaspoon
Dried Basil 1 teaspoon
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Red Pepper Flakes (optional) 1/4 teaspoon
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese 2 cups
Grated Parmesan Cheese 1/2 cup
Chopped Fresh Parsley (optional) 1/4 cup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook Spaghetti: Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare Meat Sauce: In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  4. Add Sauce and Seasonings: Stir in marinara sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Combine with Spaghetti: In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked spaghetti with meat sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  6. Assemble Casserole: Transfer half of the spaghetti mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Add remaining spaghetti mixture on top and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake: Cover baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley (if desired) and serve warm.
