Ingredients:

Chicken Thighs (bone-in, skin-on) 8 pieces
Salt To taste
Black Pepper To taste
Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
Garlic 5 cloves, minced
Honey 1/3 cup
Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons (low-sodium preferred)
Apple Cider Vinegar 1 tablespoon
Dried Oregano 1 teaspoon
Red Pepper Flakes 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Fresh Parsley Chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Pat dry 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs.
    • Season both sides of the chicken thighs with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together 1/3 cup honey, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, 5 cloves minced garlic, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional).
  3. Sear the Chicken:
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Place the chicken thighs, skin side down, in the skillet and sear until the skin is golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes.
    • Flip the chicken and sear the other side for an additional 3 minutes.
  4. Bake:
    • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken thighs in the skillet.
    • Use a spoon to baste the chicken with the sauce.
    • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

    • Remove the skillet from the oven.
    • Baste the chicken with the sauce from the skillet.
