Magic Chicken Pie

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Cooked or shredded chicken 2 cups
Cubed butter 6 tablespoons
Chopped onion ½
Bisquick baking mix 2 cups
Chicken broth 1 ½ cups
Milk 1 ½ cups
Grated Cheddar cheese 1 cup
Cream of chicken soup 1 can (10.5 oz)
Mixed vegetables, fresh or frozen 2 cups

How To Make Magic Chicken Pie:

  1. Prep Oven & Butter: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the cubed butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish and put it in the oven to melt. Remove the dish from the oven once the butter is melted.
  2. Prepare Batters: In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk and Bisquick baking mix. Set this aside. In another bowl, whisk the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup. Set this aside as well.
  3. Layer the Ingredients: Layer the ingredients directly on top of the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir. First, spread the chicken, then the mixed vegetables and chopped onion, and finally, sprinkle the grated Cheddar cheese over the top.
  4. Pour and Bake: Carefully pour the Bisquick batter over the layers, followed by the soup-stock mixture, ensuring it is poured evenly. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  5. Rest & Serve: Allow the pie to rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
