Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine peach slices, lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, and salt. Stir well.
  3. Pour peach mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Cut in the grated butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Stir in boiling water just until combined.
  7. Drop topping by large spoonfuls over peach filling.
  8. Combine cinnamon and sugar for the topping and sprinkle over the batter.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
