A heartwarming tale unfolded in a quiet neighborhood. A well-groomed retriever, clearly a beloved pet, began making unexpected visits to a woman’s home. The dog, free of any signs of hunger or neglect, would simply enter, curl up on the carpet, and drift off to sleep. The woman, intrigued by this peculiar behavior, patiently awaited the dog’s departure the following day.

As the weeks passed, the dog’s visits continued, each time following the same routine. Then, one day, a small note was attached to his collar. The note, written in a neat, cursive script, read:

“He began coming to my house. He’s well-fed and cared for, and it’s obvious he has a family. He follows me home, lies down on the carpet, and falls fast asleep. After a while, he wakes up and goes to the door. I let him out. The next day, he returns, greets me, comes in, and sleeps on the carpet again.”

“I would like to know who owns this lovely dog and ask if you are aware that your dog visits my home daily, sleeps for a few hours, and then departs once more.”
