Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it’s browned and crumbled. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning mix, tomato sauce, chopped green chilies, and black beans. Simmer for a few minutes until the mixture is heated through and well combined. Remove from heat.

- Spoon the taco meat mixture down the center of the dough rectangle.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the taco meat.
- To create the braid, make diagonal cuts about 1 inch wide on both sides of the filling. Fold the dough strips over the filling, alternating sides, to create a braided appearance.
- Brush the beaten egg over the top of the braid to give it a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the braid is golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.
