Sugar Snails

These sweet breakfast rolls are made from flattened white bread spread with a creamy, sweet cream cheese mixture, rolled up like snails, brushed with butter, and baked with a cinnamon-sugar topping.

Sugar Snails
Ingredients:

| White sandwich bread, sliced | 1 loaf |
| Cream cheese, room temperature | 1 package (8 oz) |
| Egg | 1 |
| Granulated sugar, divided | 3/4 cup |
| Cinnamon | 1/1/2 teaspoons |
| Butter, melted | 1/2 cup |
How To Make Sugar Snails:
Step 1: Preheat Oven and Prep Dish: Preheat oven to 350F (175C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.

Step 2: Prep Bread: Cut the crusts off the bread slices and discard or save for another use.3 Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread.

Step 3: Make Cream Cheese Filling: In a medium-sized bowl, beat the 8 oz cream cheese until smooth. Then add 1 egg and 1/4 cup of the granulated sugar. Mix until fully combined.
Step 4: Assemble Rolls: Spread the cream cheese mixture thinly onto each flattened slice of bread.4 Roll up the slice tightly, then cut the roll in half or in thirds. Place the rolls seam side down in the prepared baking dish.
Step 5: Add Topping and Bake: Generously brush the rolls with the 1/2 cup melted butter. In a small bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over the rolls. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden in color. Serve warm.
