Baking Powder | 1 tsp |
Bicarbonate of Soda | 1 tsp |
Cocoa Powder | 3 tbsp |
Dulce de Leche Confectioner w/n | As needed |
Instructions:
- Make the Mass:
- Beat butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla, then mix in sifted dry ingredients.
- Combine with hands, wrap in film, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Roll and Bake:
- Roll out the dough and cut lids.
- Place on a buttered and floured plate.
- Bake at 180°C for 10-12 minutes. Avoid excessive browning.
- Let cool and fill with dulce de leche.
- Snow Cover:
- Mix 200g powdered sugar with an egg white and a few drops of lemon juice.
- Make a light syrup with 200g common sugar and 50cc water.
- Pour the hot syrup over the glaze and mix. Use immediately to coat the alfajores.
- Let them dry for a snowy finish.
