How to Make Ground Beef Casserole

Step 1: Cook Beef and Sauce: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the 1 lb ground beef and cook until browned and crumbly. Drain excess grease. Step 3: Preheat and Prep Dish: Preheat your oven to 350F (175C). Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.

Step 4: Make Cream Layer: In a mixing bowl, combine the 1 diced white onion, 1 cup sour cream, and 3 oz cream cheese until smooth.

Step 5: Layer Casserole: Layer half of the noodles in the bottom of the casserole dish. Top with half of the sour cream mixture, then half of the beef mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.

Step 6: Bake and Serve: Sprinkle the top generously with 1/2 cup (or more) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through. Remove from the oven, serve warm, and enjoy!
