This recipe actually started as a happy accident during a backyard barbecue years ago. I ran out of traditional burger toppings but had plenty of pizza ingredients on hand. A little improvisation later, we discovered that a burger patty smothered in marinara and cheese was shockingly delicious. That spur-of-the-moment creation became an instant family staple, and now it’s my go-to whenever I want something nostalgic, comforting, and guaranteed to please.
