Pioneer Woman’s Apple Dumplings Recipe

These classic apple dumplings are a comforting and delicious dessert, perfect for a cozy evening. The sweet apple filling is wrapped in flaky crescent dough and baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Apple (Fuji or similar) 1 large
Pillsbury Crescent Dough 1 can
Butter 1/2 cup
Sugar 2/3 cup
Cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon
Vanilla 1/2 teaspoon
7-Up or equivalent 3/4 cup (or 6 ounces)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. Cut the apple into 8-10 wedges and remove the skin.
  3. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles.
  4. Roll each apple wedge in a crescent roll triangle, starting from the wide end. Pinch to seal and place in the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the sugar and cinnamon. Heat, whisking to combine, until thickened. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  6. Pour the cinnamon mixture over the apple dumplings.
  7. Pour the 7-Up over the dumplings.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
