Oven-Fried Potatoes and Onions

This simple recipe for oven-fried potatoes and onions is a crowd-pleasing side dish. It’s a healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried potatoes, and it’s just as crispy and flavorful.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Red potatoes, thinly sliced or cubed 5 pounds
Onion, finely chopped 1
Bacon, chopped 6 slices
Butter, diced 1/2 cup
Salt and pepper To taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
  2. Layer Ingredients:
    • Place potatoes in an even layer in the greased dish.
    • Sprinkle onion and bacon over the potatoes.
    • Dot with butter.
  3. Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  4. Broil: Remove the foil, stir the potatoes, and turn the oven to broil. Broil for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crispy.
