How To Make Outback Steakhouse Alice Springs Chicken
- Prep Oven & Chicken: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice each of the 3 large chicken breasts in half lengthwise. Season each side of the chicken with salt and pepper to taste.
- Partially Cook Bacon: While the chicken is cooking in the oven, partially cook the 6 slices of thick-cut bacon in a skillet over medium heat. You want the fat to render but the bacon should not be crispy yet.
- Bake the Chicken: Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
- Add Bacon & Bake Again: Remove the chicken from the oven. Cut each piece of bacon in half and place the strips of bacon on top of each piece of chicken. Return the chicken to the oven and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Add Cheese & Finish Baking: Remove the chicken from the oven again. Top each piece with the 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.
- Garnish & Serve: Top the chicken with the ⅓ cup of chopped green onions for garnish before serving.
