Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars

Caramel Coating:

White chocolate chips (optional) ½ cup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a bowl. Press the mixture firmly into a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes. Let it cool.
  4. For the caramel topping, melt brown sugar, butter, and heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook for 4-5 minutes to thicken. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla essence.
  5. Pour the caramel over the cooled pretzel crust. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to chill.
  6. For the chocolate topping, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe dish in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  7. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the caramel layer. Drizzle with melted white chocolate chips (if using).
  8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until set.
  9. Cut into bars and enjoy!
