Instructions:
- Brown the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Add minced garlic halfway through and cook until golden.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, black pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), brown sugar, and beef broth.
- Combine Ingredients: Transfer the cooked beef and garlic to the slow cooker. Pour the sauce over the beef and add thinly sliced onions. Stir to combine.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
