This simplified version of beer-braised brats uses the oven to cook the sausages until tender and infused with flavor from the beer and caramelized onions.

Oven Braised Beer Brats
Ingredients:

| Bratwurst sausages | 10 |
| Yellow onions, thinly sliced | 1 large |
| Beer (lager or ale) | 48 ounces |
| Garlic, minced | 3 cloves |
| Salt | To taste |
| Pepper | To taste |
| Vegetable oil | 1 tablespoon |
How To Make Oven Braised Beer Brats:
Step 1: Preheat Oven and Prepare Tray: Preheat your oven to 400F (200C). In a tin foil tray (or large baking dish), create a base layer with the 1 large thinly sliced onion. Add the 3 minced garlic cloves and drizzle with the 1 tablespoon olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Arrange and Add Beer: Arrange the 10 bratwurst sausages on top of the onion-garlic mix. Pour the 48 ounces of beer over the brats until they are approximately half-submerged in the liquid.

Step 3: Cover and Initial Bake: Cover the tray securely with foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Step 4: Flip and Second Bake: After 30 minutes, carefully remove the foil and flip the brats in the tray. Re-cover the tray and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the brats are nearly cooked through.
Step 5: Brown and Serve: For a golden-brown color, you may optionally remove the brats and brown or grill them separately for a few minutes per side. Return the brats to the beer mixture and onions to keep warm before serving hot with your favorite sides.
