Southern Potato Bake (4 Ingredients)

Ingredients

Ingredient Amount Notes
Potatoes 4 large Peeled and thinly sliced
Heavy cream 1 cup Or milk for lighter version
Shredded cheese 1 cup Cheddar works beautifully
Salt & black pepper To taste Seasoning

Directions

  1. Prep Potatoes
    Peel and slice thinly (2–3 mm). A mandoline makes this quick and uniform.
  2. Layer Base
    Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a baking dish. Arrange potatoes in overlapping layers.
  3. Season & Cream
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper, drizzle cream. Repeat layering until all potatoes are used.
  4. Top with Cheese
    Pour remaining cream over the top. Sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.
  5. Bake
