- Preheat Oven & Cook Meat: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large skillet, cook the 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey over medium heat until it’s fully browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Combine Meat & Soup: Stir in the 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup with the cooked meat in the skillet, mixing well until thoroughly combined.
- Add Broccoli & Season: Add the 2 cups chopped broccoli to the meat and soup mixture, stirring until the broccoli is evenly combined throughout. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble Casserole: Transfer the entire mixture from the skillet to a 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly to form the base of the casserole.
- Layer Cheese & Tots: Sprinkle the 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the meat and vegetable mixture. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese, covering the entire surface.
