My grandma used to prepare these in large quantities for the community, and now I’m continuing the tradition!

This Strawberry Citrus Iced Tea is the perfect beverage for a hot day. The natural sweetness of fresh strawberries and the zesty brightness of orange and lemon infuse a classic black tea base, creating a wonderfully refreshing and flavorful drink that’s both simple to make and beautifully presented.

Strawberry Citrus Iced Tea

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Water 4 cups
Black tea bags 4
Fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced 1 cup
Orange, sliced 1
Lemon, sliced 1
Honey or sugar (optional) 1/4 cup (to taste)
Ice cubes As needed
Fresh mint leaves For garnish

Instructions:

  1. Brew the Tea: In a medium saucepan, bring the 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
  2. Add Sweetener & Cool: Remove the tea bags from the saucepan. If you are using a sweetener, stir in the 1/4 cup honey or sugar until it is completely dissolved. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  3. Combine & Infuse: In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea with the prepared sliced strawberries, sliced orange, and sliced lemon.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate the pitcher for at least 1 hour (or longer) to allow the flavors of the fruit to fully meld with the tea.
  5. Serve: Fill glass jars or cups with ice cubes. Pour the Strawberry Citrus Iced Tea over the ice, making sure to include some of the fruit slices. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves and serve.

Enjoy your cool and flavorful iced tea!
