Ingredients:

Ingredient Amount
Large onion 1, chopped
Large green pepper 1, chopped into small pieces
Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Large eggs 2
Ground beef, lean 2 pounds
Panko bread crumbs 1 cup
Minced garlic 1 tsp
Garlic powder 1 tsp
Onion powder 1 tsp
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste
Provolone cheese 1 cup, shredded

Instructions:

  1. Preparation:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté Vegetables:
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the chopped green pepper and onion to the skillet.
    • Sauté the vegetables until they are softened, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Combine Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sautéed peppers and onions with 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce, 2 large eggs, 2 pounds of lean ground beef, 1 cup of Panko bread crumbs, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
    • Mix all the ingredients together until well incorporated.
  4. Layer in Loaf Pan:
    • Grease the bottom and sides of a loaf pan with cooking spray or olive oil.
    • Place half of the meat mixture into the loaf pan and press it down evenly.
    • Layer 4 slices of provolone cheese on top of the meat mixture.
  5. Complete Assembly:
    • Add the remaining meat mixture on top of the cheese layer, pressing down gently to form a loaf shape.
  6. Baking:
