Apple Zucchini Bread

Ingredients:

Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
Baking powder 1/4 teaspoon

Brown sugar 1/4 cup
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Grated zucchini 1 cup
Peeled and grated apple 1 cup
Chopped nuts (optional) 1/2 cup

How To Make Apple Zucchini Bread:

Step 1: Prep the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray to ensure easy removal.

Step 2: Whisk Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the 1 egg lightly. Add the 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk until the mixture is well combined.

Step 4: Incorporate Produce: Stir the 1 cup of grated zucchini and the 1 cup of grated apple into the wet mixture. If your zucchini is very watery, you may want to pat it slightly with a paper towel before measuring.

Step 5: Combine: Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined; stop as soon as you see no more dry flour streaks to keep the bread tender. Fold in the 1/2 cup of chopped nuts if you are using them.

Step 6: Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 55–60 minutes. Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.

Step 7: Cool and Slice: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. This lets the structure set. Transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing to get the cleanest cuts.
