I have added my own twists to it, and it is positively to die for!

The concept of combining chocolate, caramel, and pecans has its roots in the classic candy known as “turtle candy.” Turtle candy originated in the early 1900s when the combination of caramel, pecans, and chocolate first became popular. The name “turtle” comes from the shape of the candies, which resemble small turtles. Chocolate Turtle Cake is an evolution of this beloved treat, taking these flavors and turning them into a rich and satisfying cake.
