Ingredients:
Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
Ground beef (cooked, drained) | 1 lb |
Three Cheese Pasta Sauce | 1 cup |
Refrigerated crescent rolls | 1 can (8 oz) |
Shredded Italian cheese blend | 1 ½ cups (6 oz) |
Dried basil leaves | ¼ teaspoon |
Instructions:
- Prepare the meat sauce: In a skillet, mix the cooked and drained ground beef with the Three Cheese Pasta Sauce. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Prepare the crust: Separate the crescent roll dough into 8 triangles.
- Assemble the crust: Place the dough triangles in an ungreased 9-inch glass pie plate in a spoke pattern, with the narrow tips overlapping the rim of the plate by about 3 inches.
- Form the crust: Press the dough into the sides and bottom of the pie plate to form a crust.
- Add the first layer of cheese: Sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded Italian cheese blend over the crust.
- Add the meat filling: Spoon the meat mixture evenly over the cheese layer.
- Fold the crust: Bring the tips of the dough triangles over the filling to meet in the center; do not overlap.
- Add the remaining cheese and basil: Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded Italian cheese blend and the dried basil leaves over the top.
- Bake: Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
