Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Cream cheese 8 oz
Italian seasoning 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/4 teaspoon
Large flour tortillas 4
Roasted red pepper slices, drained 1 (12 oz) jar
Pepperoncinis, drained 1 (12 oz) jar
Ham, sliced thin 1/2 lb
Salami, sliced thin 1/2 lb
Sliced mozzarella cheese 1/2 lb
Fresh basil, chopped 1/2 cup

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Cream Cheese Spread: In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Lay Out Tortillas: On a large cutting board or clean flat surface, place two flour tortillas side by side, overlapping their edges by a few inches. This creates a larger surface for rolling.
  3. Spread Cream Cheese: Spread half of the prepared cream cheese mixture evenly over the overlapping tortillas, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Layer Meats and Cheese: Place a layer of thinly sliced ham directly on top of the cream cheese, followed by a layer of thinly sliced salami, and then the sliced mozzarella cheese.
  5. Add Peppers and Herbs: Evenly sprinkle the drained roasted red pepper slices and drained peperoncinis, along with the freshly chopped basil, over the lower two-thirds of the layered ingredients. This ensures the fillings are concentrated where the roll begins.
  6. Roll and Slice: Tightly roll the tortillas from the bottom towards the top. Once rolled, secure the seam with a few toothpicks if needed. Use a sharp knife to carefully slice the rolled wrap into 1 to 1.5-inch portions.
  7. Repeat: Repeat the entire process with the remaining two tortillas and ingredients.

These Italian Sub Bites are best served chilled. You can prepare them a few hours in advance and keep them in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Enjoy this easy and flavorful appetizer!
